Grady Judd, Sheriff of Polk County

Grady Judd began his career at the Polk County Sheriff ’s Office in 1972 as a dispatcher and shortly began serving as the youngest deputy in the department's history at the age of 21. Since then, he quickly progressed through the ranks— and has held the title of Sheriff since 2004. Judd is well known for his “tell it how it is” demeanor and his dedication to keeping his community safe. He is considered a local hero and truly embodies what it means to be a servant leader. Throughout his time serving as Sheriff, Polk County crime rates have hit an all-time low.
